Photographer’s Note: This photograph pre-dates digital cameras and comes from back when I myself was rear sweep (see the guy in back with the steering oar?) on one of these historic recreations. Feels appropriate as the festival kicks off again this weekend, although I will be further east photographing. Might go looking for them next Wednesday when they sail for Scottsville.
