It’s been around since last Fall, yet I’ve only ever seen it from a distance.
The creation is by muralist Nils Westergard and adorns the side of the old ice plant near Constitution Park in Waynesboro, Virginia.
While in Waynesboro on other business, decided to take the opportunity to see the work up close and have to admit that I am impressed and can see why it won top honors in an international competition.
For some reason, it makes me think of Billy musician Billie Ellish.
A News Leader story on it’s painting can be found here along with a Q&A with the artist : CLICK HERE FOR STORY
Photographer’s Note: I want to go back and photograph all the murals in Waynesboro in the near future as well as begin my personal project of documenting wall murals and advertisements on the sides of buildings around Virginia and beyond.
