The name draws from the photojournalist motto of “F\/8 and Be There!” <\/p>\n

It means arriving at the scene of a photo assignment (especially breaking news) with your aperture set to F\/8 so that everything is in focus as you might be walking into a situation where you need photos in a hurry.<\/p>\n

And F\/8 puts most things in focus. <\/p>\n

It means to always be prepared to shoot and to be in the moment and to not overthink your photos. <\/p>\n

Explorer is just that … exploring the world around you and life as it passes. <\/p>\n

I love photography and love exploring, but had both curtailed these last few years … more so during the lockdown associated with COVID-19. <\/p>\n

The F8 represents always having a camera with me, always ready to photograph whatever catches my eye. <\/p>\n

The “Explorer” represents stepping back out there … going places, exploring the world, trying new things and expanding my horizons with camera and other such tools helping document. <\/p>\n

This website is the platform for sharing all this with the world. <\/p>\n

Nutshell — This website embraces my love photography<\/span> … having a camera with you at all times<\/span> at the ready … and putting myself out there, seeing the world & experiencing life<\/span> as it flows around me. <\/p>\n
